Morton/Oliver County Veterans Service Office
Mitchell Erhardt is the Morton/Oliver County Veterans Service Officer. A New Salem native, Erhardt served 30 years in the United States Navy as a submariner 1985-2015. He served as the Command Master Chief at five commands to include two Chief of the Boat tours. Concluding his time as the Command Master Chief of Submarine Squadron Seventeen in Bangor, WA in which he was responsible for providing leadership to seven submarines, 14 submarine crews and some 2,000 Sailors. He has also served as an advisor to the state of North Dakota on Military Funeral Honor functions and requirements. He assumed his current duties in January 2018.
About Our Services
Our veterans have sacrificed a great deal of time and effort for us and for our country. We enjoy our freedom today because of them. Because they have done so much for us, the Veterans Service Office of Morton/Oliver Counties wants to be there for them.
The goal of our office is to assist these veterans, their survivors and dependents through the process of obtaining federal and state benefits that they may qualify for, should the need arise.
