Public Input Sought on Proposed Historic Preservation Commission

Morton County is exploring the creation of a Historic Preservation Commission and participation in the Certified Local Government program. Residents, property owners, community organizations, preservation professionals, and other interested individuals are invited to learn about the proposal, attend an upcoming public meeting, and share their input.

The proposed commission would help identify and document historic places, cultural resources, rural landscapes, and other features important to Morton County's heritage. No final program has been established, and public feedback will help guide its development.
