2026 Primary Election & Voting Dates & Info

Election Day - June 9th, 2026

Vote at you voting precinct only.

 

The Early Voting precinct is open to all residents and will be located at the Morton Mandan Public Library located at 609 West Main Street, Mandan:

  • Thursday, June 4, from 9:30 a.m. through 5:30 p.m.
  • Friday, June 5, from 9:30 a.m. through 5:30 p.m.
  • Monday, June 8, from 9:30 a.m. through 5:30 p.m.

Acceptable Forms of Identification

  • North Dakota Driver's License.
  • North Dakota Nondriver’s identification card.
  • Tribal Government issued identification (including those issued by BIA for a tribe located in North Dakota, any other tribal agency or entity, or any other document that sets forth the tribal member's name, date of birth, and current North Dakota residential address).
  • Long term care identification certificate (provided by ND Facility)

Voting Absentee or by Mail, Must Provide One of the Following Forms of ID

  • North Dakota form of identification list above
  • Passport or Military ID - Only for North Dakota residents living outside the United States who do not possess one of the other forms of identification.
  • Attester - An applicant living with a disability that prevents the individual from traveling away from the individual's home to obtain an acceptable form of identification may use an attester. The attester must provide his or her name, North Dakota driver's license, non-driver's, or tribal identification number, and sign the absentee/mail ballot application form to attest to the applicant's North Dakota residency and voting eligibility.

Instructions regarding an Absentee Ballot can be obtained by going to the North Dakota Secretary of State website (opens in new tab).

Voters must return a completed and signed application to Morton County Auditor, 210 2nd Ave NW, Mandan ND, fax to 667-3380 or email Dawn Rhone at dawn.rhone@mortonnd.gov.

Upon receiving the completed and signed application, we will send a ballot.

 

Ballots must be received by the county by the close of polls on Election Day. By mail - affix proper postage. In-person via secure dropbox or with your County Auditor.
