Dangerously hot temperatures are expected across Morton County this weekend!
A cooling shelter will be available at the New Salem City Auditorium (400 Main Avenue in New Salem) beginning at noon on Friday (7/10) and Saturday (7/11).
Drink plenty of water, limit outdoor activity during peak heat, take breaks in air conditioning or the shade, and never leave children or pets in a parked vehicle.
If you experience signs of heat illness, move to a cool place immediately. If someone shows signs of heath stroke, call 911.
Please use extra caution if traveling in and around New Salem due to increased traffic for ND Country Fest.
